Are kits separated in bags like when they're new?
They are not. Re-sorting kits into their original bags would be a logistical nightmare. We know that’s a bit of a bummer, we have sorting trays available to help make things easier.
What if there are missing pieces?
Unfortunately, missing pieces are an inevitable part of a shared building experience. We’ll do our best to help and we keep a stash of spares in the back that we can pull from if something’s gone missing.
Can I recommend a kit?
Absolutely! If we get enough interest in a particular kit, we’ll do our best to order it. Let us know what you'd love to see.
Are outside food and drinks allowed?
Food, no—we want to keep crumbs out of the bricks. But drinks? We’ve got a wide selection available. While we don’t serve hot drinks, we understand if you want to bring in your coffee while you build.
Is there a time limit?
Not really! We want you to enjoy your build and play with it a little after. That said, if we’re full and you’ve been here a while, we may ask you to wrap up eventually.
What if there are no tables available?
It happens. If we’re full when you arrive, we kindly ask that you come back a little later. We're working on better ways to manage high traffic times.
Can I reserve a table?
Soon! We’re working on a reservation system. Stay tuned.
What is the Community Build?
It's an ongoing group build of 1,000 pieces or more! For $1, you get to add five pieces and earn one raffle ticket. Once the build is complete, someone will win the whole set.
Do you offer birthday parties or private events?
YES! Parties start at $150. Email us at Build@walpoles.cafe and tell us what you have in mind and we’ll work with you to make it awesome.
What about school fundraisers?
We’d love to help! We can return anywhere from 20% to 100% of kit rental proceeds back to your school. Email Build@walpoles.cafe for more details.
Can I bring my own LEGO set to build?
We ask that you choose from one of the kits we provide while you're here. It helps us keep the experience consistent for everyone. That said, if you’ve got a big personal project and just need a place to build, talk to us! We might be able to work something out.
What are your age policies?
We ask that only guests aged 4 and up handle the bricks. For our littlest builders, we offer Toddler Time on Monday mornings, with larger blocks designed for ages 1½ and up.
What is Toddler Time?
Before regular hours on Mondays from 9am - 11am, we open up the floor for the tiniest builders! We roll out a rug, push the tables aside, and set up a big communal bin of toddler-sized blocks. There are even some simple building guides for those who want a bit of direction. It’s a fun, safe way to introduce kids to creative play. Cost is $10 for up to 2 kids, and $5 for each additional child. 1 drink is included for an adult.
What drinks do you serve?
We offer a variety of cold drinks, including soda, cold brew coffee, tea, and water.
